There’s been a LOT of talk about the new Surrogacy Bill that Sushma Swaraj is spearheading these days. And while some people think it’s god’s gift to mankind, a lot of people see it for the evil act of Parliament it is. It is not just, it is not inclusive, and it makes no sense at all! It is the right wing’s vendetta against the single, the unmarried, the gay, and the foreign.

Here’s a look at what the public, and some members of the affected groups, have to say about this piece of legal abomination:

This is just a drop in the ocean as far as the sheer disappointment this bill has caused among so many people goes. It’s disheartening to see a country that would like to be called progressive, be so regressive in thought and deed.

Bringing a child into the world is supposed to be a thing of joy. They’ve turned it into a monstrosity. They’re denying so many loving people the chance to provide a safe, happy home to so many kids. Meanwhile, thousands of hapless, and seemingly unwanted/uncared-for, children waste away in orphanages and on the streets. Pity!
