India Shows Humanitarian Side Again, Sends Help To Flood-Hit Sri Lanka

India has once again stepped up to help its neighbour Sri Lanka where massive flooding and mudslides left many dead and displaced over 1,00,0000 families.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured Sri Lanka’s government of all help. He tweeted:

Spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs, Vikas Swarup, informed that two Naval ships were sent to Colombo from Southern Naval Command in Kochi.


He added that ships will be followed by C-17 aircraft which will carry NDMA/NDRF officials and relief supplies.



Earlier also India came forward to help quake hit Nepal and sent its NDRF officials, medical teams, relief supplies to help victims.
