This year, IIFA was not just about well-dressed stars and the winners but also serious talks and discussions. Varun Dhawan, Saif Ali Khan and Karan Johar took over the 2017 IIFA stage, and what we saw was criticism about one lady, who sparked a debate on nepotism in Bollywood. It was Kangana Ranaut who was the center of hatred.

The event was hosted by Karan and Saif, in the meantime Varun Dhawan joined the duo on stage as he came to receive his trophy. Varun received the award for the best performance in a comic role for ‘Dishoom’. Giving a different meaning to the whole conversation, Saif mentioned to Varun that he is in this industry because of his father, director David Dhawan.

“You are here because of your pappa“, quoted Saif, to which Varun replied, “You are here because of your mummy (referring to Sharmila Tagore).” In no time, Karan Johar joined the two and said that he is in the industry because of his father, Yash Johar. The trio then shouted, “Nepotism rocks”.

Saif and Varun then sang ‘Bole Chudiyaan Bole Kangana’ from Karan Johar’s film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…’ But he quickly reacted, saying, “Kangana nahi bole toh achha hai” (It’s good you didn’t say Kangana).

After this, people must be surely waiting for Kangana’s remarks, who started the conversation on nepotism in Bollywood, on Karan Johar’s show ‘Koffee With Karan’.
