There isn’t an 80s/90s kid who hasn’t heard of George Michael, or of his runaway hits ‘Careless Whisper’, ‘Faith’, and/or ‘Father Figure’. You couldn’t have grown up in 80s/90s India and not have heard of him. Or at the very least, seen one of these images:
The leather jacket, the ripped jeans, the steel-tipped boots — George Michael had it all!
The 52 year-old pop legend is all set to make a tell-all documentary about his life in the early 90s. In this documentary, he will chat with other legends of the music world, like Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Mary J. Blige, Tony Bennett, Liam Gallagher, James Corden and Ricky Gervais. They will be seen discussing the music in the 90s.
The documentary, which will be narrated by George Michael, will also feature Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington — all supermodels of the time, for those who don’t know!
The film will focus on a turning point in Michael’s career, when he was struggling to be taken as a serious musical artist, and not just be seen as the flavor of the season. The film will also touch upon the struggles he faced in his personal life — from coming out as gay, to the death of his first love.
Sounds like this documentary will be a great walk down memory lane for music lovers the world over. And not only because they just don’t make music like they used to!
