Why Didn’t The England Cricket Team Not Wear The Black Arm Band To Honour Kolkata Dead?

Days before the T20 World Cup final between West Indies and England, Sourav Ganguly had asked the players of the two teams to wear black arm bands in the memory of those who died in the Kolkata flyover collapse.

On the day of the final, the players from the Caribbean were spotted with black arm bands on their shoulders like Dinesh Ramadin here.

As did Carlos Brathwaite, the hero of the match.

But there was no arm band on the shoulders of the English players. Here is England wicket-keeper Jos Buttler.

And Ben Stokes and Joe Root, who struck a 50.

In fact the entire England cricket team played without the arm band.

So why didn’t the English team wear the arm band? No one has a clue.

Do you think England showed disrespect to the victims of Kolkata flyover collapse?
