Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Padmavati’ starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor is all set to release on December 1, 2017. However, the movie has been surrounded by a lot of controversies since the day they started shooting. The Karni Sena destroyed the sets of the film and even burned its posters demanding a special screening for themselves. Ignoring everything, the makers finally launched the trailer of the film and left the fans mesmerized. The trailer has definitely accelerated the fans’ excitement for the movie but the gundagardi of the Karni Sena hasn’t stopped yet.

To give a beautiful tribute to Deepika Padukone’s character in the movie, artist Karan K made a massive rangoli of Deepika as Rani Padmavati on the floor of a mall in Surat. It took him over 48 hours to complete the artwork. Within 3 hours of completing his massive artwork, a mob marched all over the rangoli and destroyed it.

The artist soon tweeted about the incident with a before-and-after picture of the rangoli. According to him, the mob raised ‘Jai Shree Ram’ slogans.

Furious because of the act, Deepika Padukone slammed the miscreants on Twitter. In a series of tweets, the actress expressed her anger and even asked Textile Minister Smriti Irani to look into the matter and take appropriate action against the people who participated in the act.
