If you have real dedication towards your goals then success won’t stay away from you longer. Cricketer Liam Thomas, during the England Physical Disabilities’ Twenty20 match against Pakistan on 24th of October, proved the meaning of true sportsmanship.
Thomas knew that it was the final tournament and everyone had to give their best. Therefore, even his disability couldn’t hinder his dedication towards cricket.
Spectators of this England vs Pakistan match have experienced that one moment, the story of which they will pass on from their generations after generations.
Liam Thomas became the hero of the match when he ran so fast to stop the ball from making the boundary that his prosthetic leg actually went flying to the other side.
While talking about the incident Thomas shared,
It just happened, really. I was sprinting for the ball, put my hand out, hit the deck hard and the next thing I know I stood up and had no leg.
I didn’t know whether to grab the leg or get the ball in. I decided to go for the ball.
