Complaint Filed Against AAP Leader Ashutosh For Making “Low-Grade” Comments

A day after former AAP minister Sandeep Kumar was taken into custody for rape charges, Delhi Police registered a case against AAP leader Ashutosh for his comments in support of Kumar.

Ashutosh on September 1 had written a blog defending Kumar and comparing his scandal to the likes of Mahatma Gandhi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Jawaharlal Nehru.

Ashutosh in his blog had referred to ‘reported’ relationships that Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru had with women and defend Kumar by claiming that he was ‘sacked as a minister for perception management’.

For his comments, Ashutosh had come under sharp attack not only from the opposition but many members of AAP as well.

The complaint has been filed at Delhi’s Jyoti Nagar Police Station and the complainant has also requested police to send Ashutosh for a “mental check up” before booking him under “appropriate law”.

The complainant has further claimed that Ashutosh’s “low-grade” argument has “deeply hurt” him and many others like him.
