11 Competitions Of Techkriti That Will Test Your Innovative And Tech Skills To Their Core

With every passing second, the start of the India’s leading Tech fest, Techkriti, is getting closer. The most important parts of this fest are the many events which are full of innovation, passion and euphoria. Here are ten events you just can’t ignore if you are tech-geek:

1. Techkriti Grand Prix

The thrill of speed and control hooks people and, more often than not, a guy’s first crush is a racing car. As we grow up, we try to understand more about the design and inner workings of these beauties.

So, it’s time to test your skill by designing a miniature car and racing for your life. In Techkriti Grand Prix, all the challengers are required to prepare a miniature model of a remote controlled vehicle that is powered by an Internal Combustion (IC) engine for propulsion.

2. Bridge Design Challenge

Bridges form a core part of engineering. With every passing day, we are innovating and constructing new designs to make bridges stronger. To reduce the complexity in designing a bridge, we need to have new ideas that are both economical and feasible.

So, if you are one of those geeks who stores unique ideas, then it’s time to let it out. The designing part will be done on AutoCAD or clear pictures of handmade sketches with proper dimensioning will be accepted.

3. Junkyard Wars

Scrap is never just scrap for an inventor. It’s an amalgamation of things that can be reused and mindfully utilized to make something that pushes the boundaries of creativity.

For this event, you need to construct a Mechanical Cannon that can shoot a ball as far as possible along a straight path.

4. Electromania

Electromania gives you the chance to make your own hand-held gaming device using an 8-bit microcontroller.

The objective is to design a 2D ‘Break the Bricks’ game using a self-fabricated LED matrix as the display. The game is played by buttons/self-fabricated handheld joystick.

5. Emedded

Health and technology are closely related to each other; the progress of either one depends on the other. The use of embedded systems in the health care sector is significant as online medical consultation or telemedicine has been made possible due to digitalization of information.

So, ECDC brings to you a challenge: create a device which sends real-time data of the body parameters to a physician through the internet. The main aim is to make a system which measures the physiological parameters of a human body and sends the data over a server, where it is displayed graphically.

6. Wild Soccer

Soccer has a whole new definition here. In this event, robots battle on the field for glory but the rules remain the same. Your opponents and their robots will stand strong between you and the goal. And, as always, the team with the highest number of goals wins.

This event tests a bot’s precision to its core. The robots have to perform multiple tasks, such as following the black strip and simultaneously counting the number of various types of blocks on its way. It also must indicate the type of block it has just passed.

8. Manoeuvre

This gameplay consist of two bots from each team coordinating with each other in order to correctly diffuse the boxes and other important materials. These obstacles are the barriers that need to be diffused to save nature, which is being destroyed by zombies.

Finally, the time has come when only robots can save the planet!

9. IMP (Innovation in Manufacturing Practices)

In this national level competition, every team constructs an innovative model and gives a final working shape as a product/prototype.

You are allowed to design and fabricate a hardware model using any innovative manufacturing process(es). Any unique idea which reduces cost of production or increases the quality of finished product can be presented as an entry in this event.

10. Multirovers

This event will test your bot’s ability to fly and be stable midair. Multirovers, or flying robots, combine the flight characteristics of both a plane and a helicopter. Additionally, this time Techkriti is giving you the opportunity to meet some of the top Multirover pilots, technicians, inventors and enthusiasts of the country at ‘Take-off Techkriti’.

11. Hoverush

A hovercraft, also known as an air-cushion vehicle or ACV, is a craft capable of traveling over land, water, mud or ice and other surfaces. Register for this competition to experience electrifying hovercraft racing. However, remember that there will be no braking or reverse system allowed; only the throttle and steering system can be used.
