Rejoice! National Civil Aviation Policy Puts Cap On Fares; Focus On High Growth Of Sector

Union Cabinet today cleared the national civil aviation policy which aims to strengthen the regional connectivity and further, tap the sector’s high growth potential.

The policy has been finalised after nearly eight months since the Civil Aviation Ministry came out with the revised draft in October 2015 and follows many rounds of deliberations with stakeholders.

The minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju further said that the policy would help in making  India third largest civil aviation market by 2022.

For fliers, the good news is that there would be a cap on airlines and a single window would be introduced for all aviation related transactions, complaints, etc.

Further, there would be focus on employees skill development in the sector.

Well, the policy seems to be aiming at the right direction.
