CBI Wraps Up Probe In 12 Vyapam-Related Death Cases, Says No Foul Play

After a year-long probe, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has decided to wrap up 12 of the 24 mysterious deaths cases linked to Vyapam scam as they revealed no foul play.

In the last two years, 24 people linked to the Vyapam scam had died under mysterious circumstances.


The deaths had thus prompted the Supreme Court to direct the CBI to look into the matter.


After an year of investigation, the CBI has now revealed that there were no foul play in the death of Shailesh Yadav, who was son of Madhya Pradesh governor Ram Naresh Yadav and was found dead in March 2015.

The police also revealed that they also didn’t find any foul play in 11 other deaths that were linked to the multi-crore scam.

These 11 people include pharmacist Vijay Singh Patel, Aditya Chaudhary alias Ravi Pippal, Mahendra Singh alias Bunty, RS Bhadauria, Rahul Solanki, Lalit Kumar Godara, Brijesh Rajput, Jitendra Yadav, Vikas Thakur, Rinku Sharma and Narendra Pal Singh.

The CBI though are still probing death of journalist Akshay Singh and scam middlemen Dipak Jain.
