Condemning senior journalist Rajdeo Ranjan’s murder
, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on May 16 said that he is ready to launch a CBI probe into the incident.
Ranjan was gunned down on May 13 at a busy intersection in Siwan, leading to many criticizing the current state of affairs in Bihar and calling it the return of ‘jungle raj’.
Ranjan was the Siwan bureau chief of Hindi daily Hindustan and was shot dead at a busy intersection.
It is now suspected that the “order” to kill him came from Siwan jail, where former MP and RJD strongman Mohammad Shahabuddin is serving time for murder.
