Security Forces Killed Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Wani In Kashmir

The commander of terror group Hizbul Mujahideen, Burhan Wani, was killed in an operation by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir.

Wani, 22, featured in videos circulated on Facebook and WhatsApp aimed at recruiting young Kashmiri men for terror.

Wani was one of the most wanted militants in Jammu and Kashmir. Though educated, he took up arms.

He joined the terror group at the age of 15 after his brother was allegedly assaulted by the army in 2010.

He was killed along with two other militants in south Kashmir, say the police.

Burhan Wani gained cult following on social media among radicalized young Kashmiris.
