After being seen in ‘Casino Royale’ with Daniel Craig, Caterina Murino will now be seen in an Indian suspense film ‘Fever’, which has Gauhar Khan and Rajeev Khandelwal in the lead roles.
Caterina hails from Cagliari, Sardinia and had finished fourth in the 1996 Miss Italy contest. After working in theater and TV, she received international attention when she played the part of Solange Dimitrios in the 2006 James Bond film ‘Casino Royale’.
Talking about her role in the movie, Murino, who will reach India today for promotions, said, “Rajeev’s character loses his memory and I play Irina who he believes is his girlfriend, which she isn’t.”
When asked if shooting intimate scenes made her uncomfortable, the actress said:
“Not at all, I have done lots of kissing scenes in Casino Royale too so I’m used to it now. And if there are pleasant actors like Rajeev Khandelwal and Daniel Craig, then it’s not all that difficult to do.”
‘Fever’ is written and directed by Rajeev Jhaveri and was shot in Switzerland. The movie also stars British actress Gemma Louise Atkinson, who is most famous for playing Lisa Hunter in the TV series ‘Hollyoaks’ and its spin-offs.
Caterina Murino hopes to work more in Hindi cinema. She said, “Even though I don’t speak any Hindi in Fever I don’t mind learning it for another film. I already know four languages—English, French, Spanish and Italian.
‘Fever’, which is about a contract killer who loses his memory in an accident, is scheduled to release on 5 August, 2016.
