BJP’s Ravinder Kishore Sinha is the richest among the Rajya Sabha nominees. According to reports, the 62-year-old businessman is worth around Rupees 800 crore. Sinha accumulated his vast wealth through his flourishing security service business. He owns Security and Intelligence Services (SIS), India’s first multi-national security agency. Started in 1974, Sinha got the idea of founding SIS when he was covering the 1971 Indo-Pak war as a reporter for a Patna based daily. His ever-growing business has ensured that he remains way ahead of businessman Vijay Mallya, an independent RS member, whose cumulative wealth stands at around Rs. 615 crore.
