BJP leader Brijpal Teotia, 54, was critically injured on August 11 when AK-47-wielding assailants attacked his SUV near Ghaziabad.
Teotia was travelling on Rawli Road of NH-58 when around four attackers in a Fortuner SUV opened fire at his vehicle.

Teotia was quickly rushed to the Sarvodaya Hospital in Ghaziabad but was later shifted to the Fortis Hospital in Noida after his condition deteriorated.
Five others, including four private gunners who were with Teotia were also injured in the attack and are currently undergoing treatment.
Teotia at least took five bullets in the firing and is said to be in critical condition.
Senior police officers from Meerut and Ghaziabad range rushed to the spot and after preliminary investigations said that there were at least four assailants who also used 9mm pistols besides AK-47. The police also added that investigations suggest that this is a case of old enmity, but they are investigating from all angles.
Teotia in 2012 had unsuccessfully contested the UP assembly elections on a BJP ticket.
