Bangladesh Backs PM Modi On His Balochistan Stand

Just days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about Balochistan, Bangladesh has come out in his support and said that they stand by him on the Balochistan issue.

Bangladesh further added that they would soon make a policy declaration which would highlight all the human rights abuses that are performed by Pakistan in Balochistan.

In an interview Bangladesh Minister of Information, Hasanul Haque Inu said:

Inu who is, currently visiting India, added that Balochistan is facing the brunt of Pakistan’s military establishment who over the years “targeted” the Bengalis that live in East Pakistan.

He further added that Bangladesh wants India to partner them in their effort to control distortion of Islam and history so as to safeguard the memory of 1971.

Bangladesh in 1971 had separated from Pakitan after the Liberation War, but it was only in 1974 that Pakistan formally acknowledged Bangladesh as a separate country.

PM Modi, since his comment on Balochistan issue, has received praises from across the border.

Recently, Baloch activist Karima Baloch even wished PM Modi on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and said he was like a brother to them.
