Opposition leader Omar Abdullah-led delegation called on PM Modi seeking an immediate ban on the guns in Jammu& Kashmir.

A delegation of Opposition parties, led by the former state chief minister, submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister. This comes after CRPF told the state HC that ban on pellet guns will cause more fatalities.

The delegation also asked the Prime Minister to end  the unrest in the State. It expressed its ‘dismay at the lack of a political approach to deal with the situation.’

“We are of the firm opinion that the Central government should waste no further time in initiating a credible and meaningful political dialogue with all stakeholders to address the unrest in the state,” the memorandum said.
