You Can Soon Backup Your WhatsApp Data On Google Drive Using An Android Phone

Good news for all those who are worried about having a backup of their WhatsApp messages!

Unlike the earlier process of creating a backup, which was time consuming, Google Drive announced adoption of a feature that will let you back up your WhatsApp messages and their contents regularly on the Drive through Android.

The new backup feature will be rolled out over the next few months.

WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton said in a statement:

“Google Drive was an easy choice. It offers the native Android experience we want for our users and the scale to grow with us.”

There are no limits to file-size for backup. And since WhatsApp encyrpts every piece of content it sends and receives, you can rest assured that Google won’t be able to read anything, or, you know, serve you ads!

So, just hang in there and don’t loose your phone before making a backup!
