Baahubali has been one of India’s landmark movies till date. Being the third highest Indian grossing movie globally, Baahubali has naturally caught a lot of attention worldwide.
And now, its lead actor Prabhas is all set to be staged on the most coveted global platform – Museum of Madame Tussauds.
Joining the league of Bollywood bigwigs like Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan, Prabhas is Tollywood’s first actor to get an honor of getting waxed.
Apparently, the actor was approached by the Tussauds museum authorities two months ago after which he underwent a sitting in Hyderabad with the artists during which 350 photographs were clicked and measurements were taken.
Yes! Not even Thalaiva has been waxed yet. It’s been years since Rajnikanth’s fans have been running campaigns to request his wax statue, but none of it has seen the light of the day.
Baahubali has given Prabhas this astonishing honor and needless to say, Prabhas is in awe.
”I am really happy to have been selected by Madame Tussauds. I’m also thankful to my guru, SS Rajamouli, for giving me the opportunity to work on this fantastic project.”
SS Rajamouli, the genius mind behind Baahubali, also couldn’t feel more proud of Prabhas and took to twitter to announce his happiness.
Very happy to announce that Madame Tussauds is making a wax statue of our PRABHAS..
First South Indian to be honoured thus.

Prabhas has been to Bangkok before, eyeing Amitabh Bachchan’s wax statue with awe and admiration, but never in his dreams imagined himself to be one amongst those. Prabhas’s statue will be in his Baahubali avatar at the Tussauds museum and will be placed in the movie room, alongside James Bond, Spiderman, Wolverine and Captain America.
