In Just 37 Test Matches R. Ashwin Surpasses Sachin Tendulkar And Virender Sehwag’s Record

Indian Cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin  has achieved new heights in the latest Test series against the West Indies Cricket team.

Ashwin, on August 22, bagged his sixth Man of the Series award for scoring two hundreds and picking up five wickets haul twice in the series.

With this, Ashwin is now the only Indian cricketer who has scored two hundreds and picked up five wickets twice in the same series.

Further his latest Man of the Series (MoS) award also makes him surpass former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag‘s tally of five MoS awards each.

What is more, while it took both Sehwag and Tendulkar over 100 test matches to achieve the feat, Ashwin has managed to do so in just 37 tests.

Congratulating Ashwin for his amazing feat, Sehwag on August 22 took to twitter and said…

In this series, Ashwin scored a total of 235 runs at an average of 58.75, which also includes two centuries. He also took a total of  17 wickets at the rate of 23.17.
