The Indian Army on October 18 announced
that it was prepared to deal with any misadventure that Pakistan throws their way from across the LoC.
The Army said that be these “misadventure” by the Pakistani troops or from the terrorists, they are ready to deal with it.
In the wake of surgical strikes that took place in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) on September 29, a lot of ceasefire violations have been taking place from across the border.
But the Army has assured that along the LoC, their preparedness is of the highest degree.
The statement was given by Lt Gen Satish Dua, who is Army’s General Officer Commanding of Srinagar-based 15 corps.
He also assured that though there has been a spurt in infiltration attempts from across the LoC in the past few weeks, the Army has foiled most of these bids.
“I do admit that some infiltration has taken place, but the encounters along the LoC and the number of militants eliminated shows the preparedness of the Army.”
Gen Dua though refused to comment on the surgical strikes that took place on September 29 and said the armed force and the political leadership has already said what needed to be said.
“I do not have any different point of view.”
