Just days after Bihar government assured journalists of protection, another journalist Hemant Thakur was recently abducted from his home in Araria district.
Working with the leading Hindi daily Prabhat Khabar, Thakur was abducted after he refused to write a news report in the favour of the contractor Haji Laddan.
