Anil Kumble Takes Charge And Tells Men In Blue To Keep Fighting Spirit Alive

BCCI’s newly elected head coach Anil Kumble officially took charge of the Indian team on June 29 and went on to urge the Men in Blue to retain their fighting spirit.

Kumble will face his first hurdle as a coach next month, when India heads to the Caribbean to take part in four match Test series against the West Indies.

After spending nearly a month in West Indies, India would head back to India to prepare for the New Zealand team from September 22 onward.

Kumble, who was one of India’s most successful spin bowlers, also said he would focus on the team’s bowling department.

Kumble also revealed that he was thinking of bringing in a fast bowling coach for India.

From July onwards it would be a packed season for the Indian cricket team as they are scheduled to play 17 Tests, including 13 at home, 8 ODIs and 3 T20s within the next new months.
