Setting an example for others, Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav broke security norms and ordered to stop his cavalcade to allow an ambulance to pass.
The 43-year-old further asked his security personnel to escort the ambulance to the hospital so that it gets a clear track.
Circle Officer (CO)Traffic, Zafar Khan, told IANS, that the chief minister was on his way back to his official residence from the airport when he noticed an ambulance carrying a patient stuck in the jam as his fleet was passing and the traffic had been held up. He immediately asked his security personnel to ensure that the ambulance is allowed to move out.
The ambulance was allowed a ‘free corridor’ till the medical facility.
