This ‘Oye oye’ girl hasn’t been heard from since the late 90s.
She executed one heck of a disappearing act and vanished from the public eye for a good decade or two. Some of us remember her from the movie ‘Ghulami’, riding atop that bus with Mithun da in the song ‘Zeehal-e-maskin’. She recently resurfaced on the small screen.
Farah must really want to live a quiet life away from the glare of camera flashes and such like, because she has accomplished the impossible — she stays elusive despite the fact that her sister, Tabu, is big in the movie business.
Best known for her Indian classical dance performances, her finest hour as an actress was in the movie ‘Damini’. Not too long after, she withdrew from the movie business to raise a family. She was recently rediscovered when she bumped into old co-actor RIshi Kapoor and he tweeted a picture of the two of them together.
For some reason this woman could always be found bathing – in a river, in a waterfall, wherever! And who can forget ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’?
The ‘Aashiqui’ girl didn’t have the best luck when it came to a career in the movie business, and she disappeared, met with a near-fatal accident, and resurfaced almost two decades later.
Perhaps best remembered for her role as the backstabbing friend in Khoon Bhari Maang, Walia is another one who vanished for twenty-odd years and was recently found by some persistent journalist/fan/something.
She had some big hits like ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi SIkander’, and ‘Khiladi’. She then vanished. I hear she’s back again.
Perhaps best remembered for her role in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Roja’, Madhoo was never a permanent fixture in the Bollywood scene. She was more Tollywood, really. But then she vanished entirely!
