BJP Govt In Chhattisgarh Adds ‘Azad’ After Kalam And Joins The Faux Pas Wagon

Those who made the “unpardonable” faux pas of mistaking Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s name in their tributes post his sad demise can take solace in the fact that even the government made the same error. That a state with a BJP-led government made the error makes it even more…umm…enticing?

A letter issued by the office of the Governor of Chhattisgarh asking all government ministries and departments to observe a day of mourning in memory of the former president erroneously mentions him as “Shri APJ Abdul Kalam Azad”.

CHhattisgarh letter

For the unwashed masses, the one who you are confusing the late president with is freedom fighter Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. Note ‘Abul’ not ‘Abdul’ and ‘Azad’ after Kalam. This is Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
