So far 2013 has been an enthralling year, but sadly, even this year has its part of heartbreaking tragedies associated with it. All the celebs that died this year adorned us with great movies, made our childhood much more colorful and also created our favorite television shows. Gia Allemand was an American actress, model and a reality television star. She was a onetime Manorville resident, who stood third on the Jake Pavelka season of ABC’s “The Bachelor” in the year 2010. She died in New Orleans in an apparent suicide attempt by hanging. She was admitted to the University Hospital, were she was declared brain dead. She was 29.
David Peter Cradick was an American radio host and a famous television personality who was popularly known as Kidd Kraddick for hosting his television series “Kidd Kraddick in the Morning”. David died at his Kidd’s Kids charity function as a result of arteriosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease, in New Orleans suburb of Gretna. He was 53.
The “Glee” actor, Cory Monteith was a Canadian actor and musician. He won the Actor Comedy Award at the Teen Choice Awards in the year 2011 for his famous role in Glee. He also appeared in several movies including Final Destination 3, Kyle XY, Whisper and Deck the Halls. But sadly Cory struggled with addiction and was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room. He was 31.
Lisa Robin Kelly was an American actress and a television celebrity with multiple sitcom appearances. She gained tremendous popularity for her role as Laurie Forman on ‘That ‘70s Show’ and ‘Amityeille Dollhouse’. Kelly reportedly died in her sleep. She was 43.
Shain Gandee was a breakout star of MTV’s reality show “Buckwild”. He was reportedly found dead because of carbon monoxide poisoning along with his uncle and another family friend after his Ford Bronco got stuck in mud when all three of them went off-roading in Gandee’s hometown of Sissonville. He was 21.
Bonnie Franklin was an American actress who was known for her lead role in the famous television series “One Day at a Time as Ann Romano.” She was also nominated for the Golden Globe Awards, Emmy Awards and Tony Awards. Her first début in the television industry was at the tender age of 9. She appeared in the The Colgate Comedy Hour, followed by the Alfred Hitchcock film The Wrong Man. She was 69 when she died.
Mindy McCready was an American country music singer who is best remembered for her hit song “Guys Do It All The Time” as well as “Ten Thousand Angels” and “A Girl’s Gotta Do”. She recorded a total of five studio albums. She was found dead on her front porch that was the same place where her former boyfriend David Wilson, the father of her young son had killed himself only one month before her own death. She was 37.
Actor Paul Walker, best known for his roles in the Fast and the Furious action movies, died in a car crash in Southern California on November 30. The 40-year-old actor is known for playing street racer Brian O’Conner in the blockbuster film franchise. At the time of his death, Walker was a passenger in a friend’s car – a Porsche GT – and was attending a charity event. The first movie in the series, which stars Vin Diesel, was released in 2001, and a seventh was in development at the time of his death. The most recent film, released in May, was one of this year’s biggest box office hits.
