Five Students From Madhya Pradesh Commit Suicide For Failing Class 10 Exams

In a very sad and shocking incident for our country, five students from Madhya Pradesh, who didn’t clear Class 10 examination, committed suicide.

One student went missing from his house after failing in the examination whose results were declared on May 16.

A 16-year-old Pooja Sandhe from Bhopal hanged herself at her house.

“She did not leave behind any suicide note, but her father said she was upset over failing Class 10. A case has been registered and investigations are on,” said sub-inspector Jai Prakash Singh.

An 18-year-old  Rajesh Patel from Bairasia locality in Bhopal killed himself, hours after the results were announced.

Police said he walked out of his home after getting the news of his failure in the evening. When he returned some time later, he started vomiting. His parents rushed him to hospital but he was declared brought dead.

A 16-year-old Praveen Rajak hung himself from a tree near his house in Sagar.

A resident of Gehuras village, he had failed in one subject, police said.


A 17-year-old Rahul Giri committed suicide by hanging himself at his house.

He failed the examination for the third time.


Police investigations are going on.
